An Upshur County couple was arrested after the husband allegedly had intercourse with a 16-year-old girl at a motel while his wife took photographs, court documents said.
Timothy Allen Sargent of French Creek and Rachel Nicole Sargent of Buckhannon were arrested following an alleged incident Jan. 1 at the Colonial Motel on North Locust Street in Buckhannon, according to criminal complaints filed in Upshur County Magistrate Court.
The complaint said the Timothy Sargent allegedly had sex with the girl who was physically helpless because she had consumed alcohol that was supplied by Sargent and his wife. While the girl was passed out, the complaint said, Rachel Sargent, allegedly took photos of the assault while it was in progress.
Timothy Sargent was charged with second-degree sexual assault, and Rachel Sargent was charged with use of a minor in filming sexually explicit conduct.
The couple was lodged in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.
