Traffic in one part of Nitro is moving smoother a day after a massive sinkhole caused traffic to be redirected.
Crews finished repairing a sinkhole that shut down part of the roadway Tuesday.
One lane of Route 25 in front of the Twin City Bible Church was closed after a water main break caused the road there to collapse.
The closure caused even more of a headache than usual because that road is one of the detours drivers have to take to get around the now closed Saint Albans-Nitro bridge.
The bridge is expected to be closed until November, for repairs.
A large sink hole on Route 25 in Nitro has closed one lane of traffic near the Twin City Bible Church. The sink hole is about 4-feet wide. The hole was caused by a water main break.
Police are directing traffic in the area around the sink hole. Route 25 is one of the detour routes around the Nitro-St. Albans Bridge, which closed on Monday and will not reopen until November. Police said the hole is causing some added backups.
