Two Ohio residents have admitted to robbing a 75-year-old woman at a rest stop along the West Virginia Turnpike.
Bradley A. Molden, 40, of Newark, Ohio, and Stephanie K. Hammel, 45, of Utica, Ohio, each pleaded guilty to first-degree robbery Monday in Kanawha County Circuit Court.
Prosecutors say Hammel went into a rest stop bathroom, took 75-year-old Carolyn Boster's purse and kicked her in the shin on Sept. 4. Molden was waiting for Hammel outside in his truck. The suspects fled but were stopped by State Police several miles away.
The Charleston Gazette reported Molden and Hammel are scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 15.
