UC EXPANSION Ribbon Cutting, Open House Planned For University Of Charleston's Beckley Campus

There will be a ribbon cutting Tuesday for the University of Charleston's new campus in Beckley.
The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. outside of Carter Hall, according to a news release from Scott Castleman, UC's communications director.
In addition, UC-Beckley will host an open house between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the library of the Learning Resource Center. Admission representatives also will be on hand to discuss the university's 32 academic offerings with members of the community and prospective students.
University President Ed Welch and Beckley Mayor Emmett Pugh are just two of those expected to speak at the event.
UC's mascot, MoHary, also will be there to pose for photos.
The University of Charleston has campuses in Beckley, Charleston, Martinsburg and online.
