A portion of a busy roadway in Saint Albans has reopened, hours after it had been closed early Saturday.
Workers tell Eyewitness News that the 10200 block of Coal River Road in Saint Albans reopened before 12 p.m. A portion of the road had been closed while crews cleared the fallen power pole.
No injuries were reported, but motorists did have to use alternate routes while crews cleared the scene.
A fallen power pole has blocked a portion of a heavily traveled Kanawha County road.
Dispatchers said the 10200 block of Coal River Road on the west side of Saint Albans had been blocked since about 7 a.m. Saturday.
Dispatchers said a power pole had fallen across the roadway and crews were working to get the roadway cleared. Motorists were asked to use alternate routes until further notice.
