Kentucky State Police have arrested four people after a package was intercepted with 11 pounds of marijuana inside.
Ervin Woods, 46, Kenneth Woods, 45, Curtis Maynard, 32, and Ashley Leake, 28, all of Ashland, were arrested Friday. State Police intercepted the package containing several pounds of marijuana that was shipped from Arizona to a location on Bath Avenue in Ashland, according to a news release from the State Police. A search of the house revealed more drug paraphernalia, the release said.
The U.S. Postal Inspection Service, Kentucky State Police Canine Branch and the Lawrence County, Ohio, Sheriff’s Department Canine Unit helped with the investigation.
The four suspects were charged with trafficking in marijuana over five pounds and were being held at the Boyd County Detention Center.
