Three juveniles in Ohio have been charged after police say they stole laptops and I-Pads from an educational center.
The Athens County Sheriff's Department received a complaint that the Athens-Meigs Education Service was broken into and several laptop computers and I-Pads were stolen, according to a news release from the department.
While on an unrelated case, a deputy was at a home in Chauncey and noticed five batteries that belonged to laptops, the release said. After searching the home, deputies discovered a bag with five laptops that were taken from the school, the release said.
Deputies spoke with a 12-year-old boy at the home, and he allegedly confessed that he and two other boys broke into the school through an open window and took the items. The two other boys are 13 and 15, and they are from the Chauncey area. Deputies said the 12-year-old boy admitted to selling the electronics on eBay.
The three juveniles were charged and then released to their parents.
