A boil water advisory was issued for two communities in Wyoming County.
Customers in Bud and Alpoca were advised Wednesday to boil their water due to a chlorine problem at the water operating system, according to a news release from the Alpoca Water Works.
The water system advised that customers should bring all water to a boil, let it boil for one minute and let it cool before using, or use bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes, bathing and food preparation until further notice.
Officials said they expected the problem would be resolved in one week or less.
