Dozens of hikers laced up their boots for a wintry walk through the woods Sunday.
It was all part of America's state parks, First Day Hikes.
About 115 hikers came out to Kanawha State Forest for a three-mile hike to kick off the new year.
It's a nationwide effort to encourage people to get outside and get active.
Kanawha State Forest was one of 50 state parks nationwide participating in Sunday's First Day Hike.
