A firefighter has been released from the hospital after nearly falling through the second story floor during a house fire.
Mayor Dick Callaway said two firefighters went into the home to see if anyone was inside.
While one of the firefighters was looking around, the second story floor collapsed and another firefighter reached out and grabbed his arm. The firefighter who nearly fell dislocated his arm and was taken to the hospital.
He has since been released.
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the fire.
Two firefighters are in the hospital after they were hurt fighting a house fire in St. Albans.
Dispatchers say the fire happened on College Circle around 10pm Monday.
We are told that the two firefighters fell through the floor of the home and were sent to the hospital as a precaution.
No word on what caused the fire.
