West Virginia State Police are investigating a shooting in which a homeowner believed he was being robbed and fired shots.
The shooting happened in the Salt Rock community of Cabell County about 9:30 a.m. Monday. Troopers said the homeowner believed his property was being intruded upon and fired a gun. The shots hit the man's truck, and no one was injured. Troopers said the man was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation.
