A man wanted out of Kentucky and Putnam County has been arrested for new charges.
Hurricane police were called to the parking lot of Ultimate Pawn & Perform for some suspicious activity in the parking lot. When they got there, they said, they found Joseph Ryan Elswick. Police said he took off, but it didn't take long for Hurricane police to catch up with him.
Police said Elswick had meth and a gun on him at the time of his arrest. Elswick is a felon wanted for a probation violation out of Kentucky where he was convicted of numerous drug charges. He's now been charged with possession of meth, fleeing and being a felon in possession of a gun.
