A Vinton County, Ohio, man has been charged with attempted murder after police said he brutally attacked his estranged wife.
Thomas W. Jones, 36, of Hamden was arrested Thursday. Jones' estranged wife received severe injuries to her head, face, and neck at a home on SR 160 in Hamden, according to a news release from the Vinton County Sheriff's Department. She was taken to a Huntington hospital for treatment. Vinton County Children Services took children from the home who are now under the care of a family member.
Jones was charged with attempted murder and felonious assault. Jones is being held at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail on a $250,000 bond.
