The teenager wanted in connection with a Christmas Day shooting that left one man in critical condition has been taken into police custody. Mack Brumfield, 18, turned himself in to the Logan County Sheriff's Department about 4 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff's Department. He was arraigned in front of Logan County Magistrate Leonard Codispoti and was placed on a $50,000 cash or surety bond for malicious wounding and domestic battery charges. Brumfield was transported to the Southwestern Regional Jail by Logan County deputies. Logan County deputies say a suspect they are seeking in connection with a shooting that critically injured a man is considered armed and dangerous. Authorities are searching for Mack Brumfield, 18, following a shooting that occurred about 3:25 p.m. Christmas day on Sun Catcher Street in the Henlawson area, according to a news release from the Logan County Sheriff's Department. Deputies said a physical assault occurred earlier in the day between Brumfield and his girlfriend. Brumfield then allegedly began arguing with the girlfriend's stepfather later in the day, the release said. A witness said he saw Brumfield remove a revolver from his pants pocket, aim it the stepfather and fire multiple shots at him. The girlfriend said she saw the stepfather leave the trailer and was covered in blood. Deputies said Brumfield fled the scene on foot. Deputies said Brumfield was last seen wearing a red or maroon hoodie with jeans and has a tattoo on his right forearm that says, "MACK." The stepfather was flown to Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital, where he was in critical condition. Logan County deputies are looking for a person of interest in connection with a shooting Christmas Day. Deputies say a man was shot several times in the Henlawson area around 2pm Tuesday afternoon. Investigators are looking for Mack Brumfield, who was seen leaving the Henlawson area on a red four-wheeler on the railroad tracks towards the Peach Creek area. Brumfield is around 18-years-old and was wearing a red or maroon hooded sweatshirt and jeans. He has a tattoo on his right forearm of "MAC." Police believe Brumfield came back to the scene of the crime and they are currently looking for him. If you have any information on the shooting or Brumfield, call Logan Deputies at (304) 792-8590 or 911. MORE NEWS FROM EYEWITNESS NEWS
