The Union Mission handed out food all across the state today.
The goal is to provide food baskets to needy people for the Christmas holiday season.
It has been a very tough year for many people and many are in need of assistance.
The mission distributed food baskets at various sites throughout West Virginia.
"This drive this morning is expected to provide food for over 40,000," said Tammy Scott of Union Mission, "And it's through all of us coming together that we could provide food for all those in need and give everybody a nice Christmas meal."
The food will feed over 600 families throughout the state.
