Eyewitness News has an update on a scam in Sissonville.
State Police said American Life Income is a reputable company. Someone who doesn’t work at American Income Life is using the company’s name to try to get people’s personal information. Eyewitness News is told the person is using the premise of selling Amber Alert kits.
American Income Life’s public relations representative, Kenneth Altizer, said American Income Life would never solicit that type of information from anyone in that way.
“We have never and will never ask anyone for personal information like that until we get way into our sales . . . but it’s never up front,” Altizer said.
If you believe someone has tried to scam you by referencing that company’s name, call 911.
