A family was rushed to safety early Wednesday morning while flames took over their home, and their heater may be to blame.
It happened around 2:00 a.m. on Main Drive off Coal River in St. Albans. An emergency worker said flames were shooting through the roof.
One person was transported to the hospital with burns. Four people lived in the house.
Firefighters think it may have started when a ceramic heater exploded.
