A Clay County woman was found covered in blood after state troopers said she shot another woman and left her lying in the middle of the road.
Destiny Dawson, 29, of Hartland was charged with malicious wounding, Trooper B.E. Young said.
Troopers responded to a report of a shots fired call Saturday in the Hartland Bottom area, where they found Crystal Runion had been shot in the leg. They said Dawson allegedly left Runion bleeding in the middle of the road.
State Police said Runion told troopers that Dawson shot her and that Rodney Runion hid the weapon before they arrived.
Troopers said Dawson admitted to shooting Crystal Runion, and said she had met her to fight.
