Max Hill and his friends partied down at the South Charleston Ice Arena. When you throw a party like that, there's a pretty good chance you'll get a lot of gifts. But, the presents Max received at his party will go to another child.
Max is giving each one of his gifts a little boy in our region he doesn't even know. A little boy who might not have a Christmas if it wasn't for Max and his generosity. "I just felt like helping the kid out," Hill said.
This kind deed is part of the Operation Santa Claus Program, where children of military families in need get gifts.
Mark Blankenship brought his child to the party Sunday afternoon and said, "With kids getting as many presents as they do these days, they don't need them. For a seven year old to make choices to give to a needy child is remarkable and how we should be raising our children."
