A Charleston woman has been arrested after police say she embezzled thousands of dollars from a local hot dog shop.
West Virginia State Police say 48-year-old Beverly Altano embezzled $40,000 from Sam's Hot Dogs on Malden Drive in Charleston. Altano was an employee at the business.
In a statement to troopers, Altano said she took the money to pay off her daughter's drug debt and to support her grandson.
