Deputy C.D. Lyons is named Deputy Of The Year today in a ceremony at the Kanawha County Commission meeting on Thursday, December 13, 2012.
Sheriff Mike Rutherford presented Lyons the award this afternoon.
Lyons, who is currently on road patrol has the highest activity rate in the Sheriff's Department.
He's been a K9 handler since 2010.
Lyons recently broke the biggest ATV theft ring in Sissonville, WV.
