Here is a gift you can give that will bring joy to a child long after the hustle and bustle of Christmas is over.
Donate a new, unwrapped toy to the “Tower of Toys,” an effort by Eyewitness News to collect toys for more than 400 children in our area who could go without anything under the tree unless generous folks step forward to help.
We are working with Union Mission to provide toys that will be distributed before Christmas to children who need a helping hand. Many kindhearted people have already made donations as we build a mountain of toys, but there is much more work to do before the toy drive wraps up Friday.
Participating is simple. Just drop off a new unwrapped toy at the station’s studio in Charleston, 1301 Piedmont Road, or at the station's studio in Huntington, 1002 Fourth Ave. Donations also can be made at the Building and Remodeling Warehouse in Nitro. Other partners include Off Broadway Shoes and the Kanawha Valley Corvette Club.
So please come help us build a huge “Tower of Toys” that will put smiles on the faces of lots of really deserving kids this Christmas.
