A man has been sentenced for his part in stealing from and threatening to hurt an elderly disabled person.
Jarrod R. Losey, 35, of Glouster, Ohio, was sentenced on Tuesday in Judge L. Alan Goldsberry's courtroom of the Court of Common Pleas, according to a news release from Athens County Prosecuting Attorney Keller Blackburn. Losey pleaded guilty to charges of theft from the elderly and intimidation of a victim or witness in a a criminal case, the release said. Losey will serve four years in prison.
Prosecutors said Losey and another suspect stole items from an elderly person with a disability in April. Later, Losey threatened to hurt that person.
