Kanawha County deputies have arrested the two people they say were involved in a home invasion and robbery over the weekend. Terry Lee Shamblin Jr., 35, of Eskdale and Tonia Kay Blount, 26, of Campbells Creek have been charged with robbery in connection with the assault and robbery of James Chapman at his home on Campbells Creek Sunday night. Deputies said they arrested Blount in Campbells Creek Monday evening as she was attempting to flee to Ohio. They arrested Shamblin when they found him walking along Campbells Creek Road and apprehended him without incident. Both were taken to the South Central Regional Jail. Kanawha County deputies arrest two people they say robbed an elderly man in his Campbell's Creek home. Deputies say 66-year-old James Chapman answered the door to his Gapview Drive home around 5pm Sunday to a woman who said she needed money. He let her inside, but a man also came into the home and began assaulting Chapman. The pair then took off with Chapman's wallet. Chapman was hurt, but will be okay. The suspects identified themselves to him as Terry and Tonya. Stay tuned to Eyewitness News for the latest on this developing story. Kanawha County deputies are investigating an alleged home invasion and robbery that happened over the weekend. James Chapman, 66, of Campbells Creek heard a knock at his door about 5 p.m. Sunday, deputies said. He told deputies that when he opened the door, a woman began asking him for money. He allowed her inside and then a man entered the residence and allegedly began assaulting Chapman. The two reportedly stole Champan's wallet and took off. The suspects identified themselves as Terry and Tonya and deputies believe their possible suspect names are Terry Shamblin and Tonya Blount. Deputies described “Terry” as having a slim build, short dark hair, a goatee and about 30 years old. He also sported tattoos on the back of his neck. He was wearing a dark coat , blue jeans and a black toboggan. “Tonya” is described as about 26 years old with blond hair. She was wearing blue jeans with blue jeans and a green T-shirt. Investigators do believe Terry and Tonya are the correct first names of the suspects, but they need help in positively identifying them as well as their whereabouts. They are wanted for questioning.
