Imagine if there was nothing left under your tree this Christmas. Well, that is a very likely, sad prospect for lots of less fortunate children in our area.
You have the opportunity to put a smile on the face of child who could be left out this holiday. Donate a new unwrapped toy to the “Tower of Toys” toy drive. With your generosity, we will build a mountain of toys for Union Mission, so it can distribute toys throughout the area before Christmas.
The need is great. More than 400 children have signed up to receive toys. Kindhearted folks already have stepped forward. Bicycles, dolls and an assortment of toys are starting to pile up, but there is much more work to do before our toy drive wraps up Dec. 14.
Participating is simple. Just drop off a new unwrapped toy at the station’s studio in Charleston, 1301 Piedmont Road, or at the station's studio in Huntington, 1002 Fourth Ave. Donations also can be made at the Building and Remodeling Warehouse. Other partners include Off Broadway Shoes and the Kanawha Valley Corvette Club.
So please come help us build a huge “Tower of Toys” that will put smiles on the faces of lots of really deserving kids this Christmas.
