The Cabell County Sheriffs department has made an arrest in Thursday afternoon's high speed chase through Huntington.
Deputies say Anthony Scott Merritt lead police on the chase, they arrested him several hours after it ended.
Merritt has been charged with fleeing, causing injury to an officer.
He's in the Western Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly was breaking into cars on Huntington's West End and then was involved in a multiple-car accident after a police chase.
The suspect lead police on a chase Thursday afternoon in a red Pontiac Grand Am. The chase subsequently caused an accident between a Cabell County deputy's cruiser and two other vehicles, police said.
Police believe the suspect may now be on foot after a car was discovered abandoned fitting the description in the parking lot of a business in the Guyandotte area.
A Cabell County deputy's cruiser was involved in a wreck with two other vehicles Thursday afternoon near Fifth Avenue and 10th Street.
At least two people were taken to the hospital. The immediate area around the accident was blocked off to traffic.
Witnesses say there may have been a police chase going on when the wreck occurred.
