Four people involved in a nearly $60,000 ripoff of a helicopter ambulance company learned their fate Thursday.
Meredith Collier, the former director of accounting for HealthNet Aeromedical Services, and her husband had pleaded guilty in October to attempted embezzlement. She got a one-to-three-year prison term. Her husband, John Vance, was sentenced to probation.
Kanawha Circuit Judge Carrie Webster also sentenced Tina and Mark Vance on misdemeanor charges. Tina was sentenced to six months and a day in jail for her role in the scheme. Mark Vance received probation.
