A Putnam County man who filed a complaint when a family court judge allegedly called him a convicted child abuser, now said he was joking when he bragged on Facebook about beating his children.
Troy Sexton, who recently showed up at Judge William Watkins ethics hearing, was convicted of domestic battery in a highly publicized incident in which his boys were roughed up at a midget football league practice in 2009.
Watkins apparently was upset because child abuse is a felony and Sexton was only convicted of a misdemeanor.
At the same time, Sexton was boasting on Facebook that he was beating his children in ways that could not be detected. He told Eyewitness News the posts were a joke. State troopers are looking into the posts and said they have not yet found any criminal conduct.
