A Logan County woman hit by a train has died from her injuries.
Police say 29-year-old Shannon Marie Blankenship was hit by a CSX train in Chapmanville around 4pm Monday.
Blankenship was taken to Logan Regional Hospital where she later died.
The tracks were shut down for about an hour while police investigated.
A woman is in the hospital after being hit by a train in Chapmanville around 4PM today.
Firefighters say the woman, who is in her mid 20s, was trying to cross the tracks when she was hit by the CSX train.
The victim was taken to Logan Regional Hospital with critical injuries. Her name has not been released.
The tracks were shut down for about an hour while crews investigated.
