Muzzleloader season starts a week earlier this year.
The season runs Monday through Saturday.
Hunters can only take one antlered deer apiece in the counties with a closed doe deer season or counties that required permits for antlerless deer. And anyone who didn't have to apply for a permit in counties with a one-deer bag limit on does can take either a buck or doe with a muzzleloader. That's also the case for counties with an antlerless season bag limit of three deer.
Logan, McDowell, Mingo and Wyoming counties will not have a muzzleloader season.
