You can step back in time this holiday season by visiting one historic house in Charleston.
The Craik-Patton House kicked off "A Civil War Christmas" at its annual holiday open house this weekend.
Visitors can tour the house for free and take in all of the festive decor.
The executive director, Bri Jackson, says this is a good way for the public to get a little history and get into the holiday spirit at the same time.
"We hope that they feel that this is a part of their community and their shared history of the Kanawha valley that we can all come together. The holiday season is a time where we all come together anyways so we thought it'd be nice to be open and decorated," said Jackson.
The house, located at 2809 Kanawha Boulevard East, will continue tours throughout the holidays.
