A local organization is making it easy for you to give back in a big way this year.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Kanawha Valley will hold a rally Thursday evening to raise awareness for the need for more Big Brothers and volunteers. Currently, there are 75 children, mostly boys who are still in need of a Big Brother mentor.
Thursday's event also will kick off a major fundraiser, Bowl For KIDS' Sake, which is planned for January.
The rally will be held at Smith Motor Cars in South Charleston from 5-7 p.m. It is open to the public, and volunteers will be recognized for their time and dedication in mentoring young people.
