Kentucky State Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a convenience store in Pike County.
The robbery occurred about 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Meta Double Kwik in the Meta community, according to a news release from State Police. An unidentified male entered the business, displayed a weapon and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect left the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and jumped into the back of a dark-colored pickup. State Police said the vehicle was traveling east on KY 194.
The suspect was described as 6 feet tall, weighs about 180 pounds and has brown eyes. He was wearing blue jeans, a brown jacket and his face was covered with a mask.
