Two Greenup County, Kentucky deputies had to be rushed to the hospital after they became sick while investigating a meth lab.
A press release from the Greenup County Sheriff's Office says Deputy Rick Craft and Deputy Cody Fuller were trying to serve a warrant for 42-year-old Hubert Dehart at a home in the 2900 block of Culp Creek Road around 12am Sunday. When they went inside, they say Dehart barricaded himself inside of a bathroom where an active meth lab was cooking. They got inside the bathroom, and say Dehart tried to dispose of the drug.
Investigators say both Deputy Craft and Deputy Fuller became overwhelmed by the fumes and had to be rushed to the emergency room. Deputy Craft was treated and released; however, Deputy Fuller had to be admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
Dehart and another woman inside of the home at the time, Pamela Dehart, were both arrested and charged with manufacturing meth and numerous other felony counts.
