POSSIBLE KIDNAPPING UPDATE Man Charged with Multiple Offenses After Calhoun Kidnapping Scare

An arrest had been made in a Calhoun kidnapping scare.
Joseph Kute is charged with child endangerment, burglary and domestic battery. An alert over a possible abduction of a woman and a girl went out Tuesday night after a call to Calhoun County 911 that a suspect was trying to break into a home in the Yellow-Leading Creek area. Police feared the suspect had taken the woman and child.
State Police have not released further details. Kute is not charged with kidnapping.
West Virginia State Police are investigating a possible kidnapping of a mother and child in Millstone in Calhoun County.
Troopers are not releasing much information, but will say they are looking for a gray 1990's model Buick Century vehicle.
Anyone with information should call 911.
