A woman sustained serious injuries after she was struck by a car in a grocery store parking lot.
Ruth Martin of Ashland was flown to a Huntington hospital with serious injuries following an accident that occurred about 2 p.m. Tuesday in the parking lot of Kroger on Martin Luther King Boulevard, Ashland police said.
Witnesses said the car was moving at a slow speed when the pedestrian stepped into traffic, police said. There is no word on whether the woman's injuries are life-threatening.
The driver of the vehicle is not being charged with a crime.
