Some volunteers are taking the time to make sure children in foster care have what they need this holiday season.
The "Carry On" Campaign is designed to make sure that children moving from home to home have their own personal care items.
Volunteers with the Children's Home Society and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources have been collecting items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and shampoo all year, to give to children placed in foster care.
Organizers said this campaign is a simple way to show the children they are loved and cared for - no matter where they go.
The items are put in gently used duffel bags, which also are donated and then distributed by Mission West Virginia.
