A Mason County man was arrested after deputies said they discovered a shake and bake meth lab inside a home Monday.
Clinton David Weethee, 32, of Point Pleasant is charged with operating or attempting to operate a meth lab, according to a complaint filed in Mason County Magistrate Court.
Deputies said it happened at a home in the 2200 block of Lincoln Avenue in Point Pleasant. Deputies asked the owner of that home if they could search it, Deputy C.A. Rhodes II said.
Once in the basement, officers smelled a strong chemical odor, court documents said. That is where deputies found a shake and bake meth lab along with a gas generator, Coleman fuel, drain cleaner, filters and batteries that had been cut open. Deputies said they also discovered another shake and bake meth lab and gas generator outside of the basement.
Weethee was being held in the Western Regional Jail Monday on a $100,000 bond.
