A holiday light display in the capital city will begin later than usual, due to damage from Superstorm Sandy.
Members of the Kanawha County Parks and Recreation Commission voted Wednesday to postpone the light show at Coonskin until Dec. 1.
Work crews are behind on getting the displays ready because of storm cleanup to get the park ready for the state soccer tournament. The tournament had to be held in Charleston instead of Beckley because of the massive snow and power outages there.
The light show traditionally opens the day after Thanksgiving.
