Members of a family in Huntington have an extra reason to be thankful this holiday season.
On Sunday, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for their new home.
The home is being built through the Huntington Area Habitat For Humanity, a nonprofit organization that helps build homes for qualified families in Need.
The future home is located on Jefferson Avenue on Huntington’s West End and will belong to Judy Jackson and her family. They’ve worked on several homes for other people and say they are ecstatic that they get to work on their own. This home is being sponsored by several churches in the downtown area.
