A Mingo County couple has been charged with child neglect after police said their toddler was found alone behind a middle school Sunday afternoon.
Rafael Judkins and Holly Hammond have been charged with child neglect resulting in substantial risk of injury.
Police said their 2-year-old girl was found behind Williamson Middle School on Poplar Street in Williamson, wearing only a diaper. Officers said the little girl was OK, but police said she was found next to a road and could have been hit by a car.
It took officers two hours to find Judkins and Hammond, who said they did not know how the child got out of the home, police said.
