Fayette County deputies have arrested two men they said stole about $50,000 in a serial theft ring countywide since the summer. Clinton Hall, 37, of Mossy and Vernon Estep, 52, of Gallagher in Kanawha County were arrested Friday, according to a news release from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office. Hall has been charged with one count of breaking and entering and one count of grand larceny. In addition, deputies said he faces two counts of breaking and entering and two counts of grand larceny in Boone County. Estep has been charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to breaking and entering in Fayette County. Both men are being held in Southern Regional Jail. The thefts started on July 8, when the Custard Stand in the Lochgelly area of Oak Hill was broken into and money was taken from the safe, the release said. Deputies said in the months that followed that break-in, several other businesses in the area were broken into and money was stolen from the safe. Investigators believe those crimes were linked. "At this time we have been able to link Clinton Hall to at least 11 incidents of breaking and entering in Fayette County, one in Raleigh County and two in Boone County," Sheriff Steve Kessler said. Additional charges are expected to be filed against the pair, and more arrests also are expected to be made in the near future, deputies said. If you have any information about these crimes, call the Fayette County Sheriff's Office at 304-255-7876. MORE NEWS FROM EYEWITNESS NEWS
