A nonprofit group is working to make sure underprivileged teenagers have gifts under the tree next month. That group often falls through the crack while other organizations collect toys for children during the holidays.
"Teenagers Deserve Christmas Too" is collecting Christmas gifts for teenagers up to the age of 18.
Kanawha County currently has no organization that sponsors teens older than 13.
Teens also deserve the excitement of having gifts under the tree on Christmas Day, Michelle Holyman, the founder of the organization, said.
The organization is currently sponsoring 22 teenagers. If you would like to help out, call 304-513-6000 or log onto www.teenagersdeservechristmastoo.com.
