A Kanawha County man was charged with grand larceny after police said he stole more than $1,000 from another man, then was caught on video surveillance trying to hide it in his buttocks.
Oneil Barnett, 43, of Nitro is accused of stealing the wallet containing $1,300 from a man inside the Go-Mart on Sixth Avenue in Charleston Thursday, city police said.
A short time later, the suspect was spotted on video surveillance, trying to break into the Go-Mart on Seventh Avenue in Charleston. Once inside the store, he went into the office and hid the cash in his buttocks, police said.
Along with the cash, police said they found a couple of grams of methamphetamine.
Barnett is charged with grand larceny and is being held in the South Central Regional Jail.
