No charges have been filed after authorities say an intense and emotional argument in Princeton between two men over family issues led to a fatal shooting.
At a news conference on Thursday, officials with the Princeton Police Department said 30-year-old Eddie Harmon, shot and killed 34-year-old Michael Cardwell.
The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reported that the shooting outside Harmon's Princeton home was first reported Wednesday afternoon.
Officials would not comment on the family issues that were affecting the two males, but said the men's parents had a relationship.
Statements from both Harmon and eyewitnesses are being turned over to Mercer County prosecutors. Officials say self-defense could be a possibility but the investigation is ongoing.
