Two men who were driving pick-up trucks in Mingo County Friday morning, died after a head-on collision. It happened about 7 a.m. along Route 52 near east Kermit, according to dispatchers. Investigators believe that Donald Hill of Staffordsville, Kentucky drivers crossed the center line, striking the other truck head on. His vehicle was compact pick-up, the other was a one-ton utility body pick-up truck. Deputies told Eyewitness News that the driver had a medical condition and may have fallen asleep. They identified the other driver as Randy Goble, a mechanic at a trucking company near the crash site. The roadway reopened shortly after 11 a.m. Friday. Eyewitness News has learned that the two people killed in a crash were drivers of two pick-up trucks that crashed head on along Route 52 near Kermit in Mingo County, Friday morning. Deputies believe one of the men had a medical condition and may have fallen asleep when he crossed the center line and hit the other truck. The victims' names have not been released.
