A South Charleston man is facing charges after a drug raid overnight.
David Lee Gump, 38, of South Charleston was arrested for felony drug possession late Wednesday evening. Police served a search warrant at his home along Village Drive in South Charleston.
Officers said they discovered 22 grams of heroin in individually wrapped baggies inside his home. The drug was hidden in a bingo box in an upstairs bedroom, according to court documents.
Gump was in the news in 2009, when he was seriously injured by his lawyer - Joshua Robinson. Robinson was charged with beating Gump with a baseball bat in a dispute over a civil settlement. Robinson was convicted of unlawful wounding and lost his law license.
