A legendary coach and All American football player celebrated Thanksgiving with dozens of residents of Putnam County on Tuesday.
Leon McCoy was the featured guest speaker at the 18th annual Putnam County Thanksgiving Dinner.
The event welcomed everyone from Putnam and surrounding counties to feast on turkey, ham and all the trimmings catered by The Gallery.
McCoy, who played football at the University of Tennessee, was an All-West Virginia Conference pick and an All American in 1950. McCoy said community events like this one make him and others feel at home.
