A man was sentenced in Kanawha Circuit Court for operating a meth lab, but it is unclear whether or not criminal charges will be leveled against him in a deadly accident.
Shane Thaxton was sentenced Tuesday to up to 10 years of home confinement on meth charges.
Meanwhile, prosecutors said they are uncertain if Thaxton will face additional charges in a deadly accident in Sissonville last March. Thaxton was driving a truck that hit and killed Danny Carpenter, 63, as he walked along Call Road. Deputies plan to turn over their crash report to prosecutors.
