A man has died from his injuries resulting from being hit by a car while crossing a road.
Juan Ortiz, 43, of Maryland died Monday. On Nov. 8, Ortiz was walking across U.S. 23 in the Coal Run community of Pike County, a news release from the Kentucky State Police said. He was struck by a car and was transported to Pikeville Medical Center where he later died.
There are no charges being filed against the driver of the vehicle at this time.
